Christmas Candle by Pickled Potpourri

Christmas Candle is a nice collage image from Pickled Potpourri.  It almost makes a complete card on its own.  I colored by image with Copic markers (R24, R59, Y38, YR04, Y26, Y28, YG63, YG67) and then used chalks for the background.  On the flame I used Yellow Wink of Stella to make it glisten.   Crystal Effects were applied to the dripping part of the candle.  The background patterned paper is from my stash of paper, and I used Bazzill Ivy cardstock to mat it.  A rick rack ribbon trim across top and bottom was added also.

Beehive by Pickled Potpourri

Beehive by Pickled Potpourri makes a happy card for almost any occasion. The background of my card is an embossing folder by Darice called Bees Buzzing.  I chalked over it to make the bees visible.  The beehive image is printed on white cardstock and colored with Copic markers.  Then I cut it with Spellbinders Big Scalloped Ovals Nestabilities and mounted it on yellow cardstock.  Buttons with floss were added for accent.

Snowman Tags by Pickled Potpourri

More Christmas ideas this week with Snowman Tags from Pickled Potpourri.  I've made a card and a tag, colored them with Copic markers and mounted them on green cardstock.  The background of the card is a snowflake embossing folder, and I used White Liquid Applique on the snow.  Stickles were used on the snowflakes to make them sparkle.  I tied a ribbon and bow under the main image.

On the tag I added hardware from Lilly Anna by Red Rubber Designs and ribbon.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Facebook friends and blog post friends.  This is a card made with a rubber stamp set called Every Leaf from Red Rubber Designs.  I love the fall leaves which are just now turning colors in Texas.  They are so beautiful.  God's blessings are so many, and I am thankful.  The sentiment on the card is from Blessings by Our Daily Bread Designs.

This card is from Little Miss Muffet, and must be a retired set now.  It is called Bandit Boy Gavin at Thanksgiving and Agent Bubblegum at Thanksgiving.  It reminds me of our heritage and why our nation is thankful for freedom and blessings in America.  The sentiment is from Sophisticated Sentiments from Red Rubber Designs.

Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Reindeer Tags by Pickled Potpourri

Time for another Christmas idea.  These are Reindeer Tags by Pickled Potpourri.  Aren't they cute?  I made a card and gift tag using this digital set.  The images are colored with Copic Markers.  The background paper is from my scraps drawer.  I added stickles on the snowflakes and bells around the deer collars, red pom pom balls for the noses, a brad from the Cha Cha hardware collection from Red Rubber designs, and a couple of ribbons for the tag.  Easy!

Christmas Collage by Pickled Potpourri

Christmas Collage is a digi image by Pickled Potpourri.  It makes a lovely Christmas card.  For my card, I printed the image twice on XPress Copic cardstock, colored it with Copic markers (YG07, R35, B28, YR04, BV00, Y15, BG53, G46, G43, B000) sponged Color Box Chalk ink (Bisque) in the background.  I used a Gold Wink of Stella pen around the rim of the stain glass window and then a Gold Leafing pen around the blue matting behind the image and around the edge of the card.  The stained glass window is cut out and popped up over the base image..I cut out the blue matting with a deckle edge trimmer.

This second view shows the shiny gold around the edges.

Red Rubber Inspirational #142 - Pumpkin Patch

I made this paper-pieced card for the Red Rubber Inspirational this week called Pumpkin Patch.  I've used a stamp set from Red Rubber Designs, Happy Harvest.  I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock and also on scraps of patterned paper.  Then I cut out the pieces and glued them on top the image.  The scarecrow's face and the grass were colored with Copic markers, but all the remaining elements are paper-pieced.  The background sky is made with blue ink, a sponge, and cloud template.  This was a fun fall card.

Now I will give this card in a fall mingle swap with my local stamp group.  The theme for the swap is paper piecing.

Do you have pumpkin stamps?  Come join the Red Rubber Inspirational challenge this week.  It is fun.

This is week #3 to show you a card from the Pickled Potpourri digital set called Adorable Animals.  This is Pup.  Since he has a balloon, I made a birthday card and have him floating in the air. I used Hip Hop patterned cardstock by Red Rubber Designs for the background, a Stampin' Up die and paper piecing kit to cut the image, a circle clip, and some Crystal Stickles on the balloon and some of the patterned cardstock.  A cloud template, sponge and Palette Reflection Blue ink made the clouds.

Today's Red Rubber Inspirational challenge is Anything Goes with a focus on stamping.  I love this sweet stamp called Amelia from Jackson and Amelia Cling Foam stamps by Red Rubber Designs.  I've stamped her with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copic Markers and then cut a circle and matted her with a scallop edge from a Spellbinders die.  The sentiment is computer generated.  It seemed to fit her expression.  The background paper is from my paper stash. Hope you like her too.

International "Talk Like a Pirate" Day with Little Miss Muffet

Today is International "Talk Like a Pirate Day", so I am using a Little Miss Muffet stamp called Swings 'n Slides Pirate to join in their Anything Goes Challenge.

I really had fun coloring this little fella with my Copic markers.  The sentiment is from Treasure Seeker by Red Rubber Designs.  The background bandana paper is My Mind's Eye, and I embossed the blue cardstock with a Sizzix Embossing Folder.  The image is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut into an oval shape with my Coluzzle cutter.  I put a yarn rope around the oval.

Path of Positivity Challenge - Determination - with Pickled Potpourri

I made this card for the Path of Positivity Challenge - Determination.  The challenge made me think of this silhouette image from Pickled Potpourri called Fly.  Have you ever wished you could fly?  I have.  There is something about a swing when one is high in the air that seems almost like flying.  So if you are determined to fly, just grab a swing and take off!

My card uses digital papers from Pickled Potpourri.  The stripped paper is from the Distressed Black and White collection, and the pattern is from the More Distressed Black and White collection.  I cut the image using Spellbinders Standard Circles Large and matted it using Classic Scalloped Circles Large with black cardstock.  Rhinestones were added around the circle.

Red Rubber Inspirational #134 - Just Wing It

Drea is leading the Red Rubber Inspirational Challenge this week - Just Wing It.  This is one of my favorite stamp sets, called Flutter By from Red Rubber Designs.  Today I'm trying a new technique introduced by Maile Belles, a design team member from PaperTrey Ink.
It is called Cutout Panels.  You can see her tutorial here.

For my card I stamped the images on XPress It blending cardstock for Copics using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with  Copic markers ( YR12, YR14, YR16, YR18, YG95, YG97, Y06, E09, E39).  Then I used a sponge and cloud template with Palette Reflection Blue ink to make the cloud background.  Next I cut out the panel, as detailed in Maile's tutorial and trimmed around the butterfly.  I used a strip of burnt orange Bazzill cardstock and embossed it with a Sizzix flower embossing folder to go behind the cutout panel.  Then the front card is popped up on top with dimensional tape.

Wouldn't you like to enter this challenge using some stamps with wings?  Come join in.
