DDH6 Challenge - Anything But a Card Week 2

This is Week 2 of Anything But a Card Challenge.   Since I posted several non-card projects last week, this week I have an optional card to show you.

It's spring.  Flowers are in bloom.  We need to look around and enjoy the change of seasons and take time to "stop and smell the flowers."  This little bear stamp from Digi Design House, called Smell the Flowers helps us do just that.
On this card I used More Mimi Soar With it Collection paper and cardstock from The Angel Company.  I punched the image out with Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Scalloped Circles.  The bear is printed on Copic Caboodle cardstock from TAC and colored with Copic markers E11, E13, E15, YG93, YG95, YG97, W1, W3,W5, R81.

The flowers in the bear's ars are Raspberry Flower Soft toppedwith Liquid Pearls Gold and  Gold Stickles.  I added small pink eyelets to the tag saying.

You still have time to link your project that is not a card to our Anything But a Card Challenge.  Hopefully you can use a DDH stamp set for your creation.  We would love
to see what you make.  You have an extra chance to win a free DDH stamp set if you
use a DDH stamp for your project.

Don't forget to visit the blogs of the DDH Dream Team Designers and leave
some love for them there about their creations.

DDH6 Challenge - Anything But a Card! Week 1

Our DDH6 Challenge is "Anything But a Card".

I made two projects using DDH stamp set called Cherry Blossom Bird.

The first project is a lunch tin that I covered with Julliet SWIC paper collection from The Angel Company and then decorated it with Bazzill Bitty Blossoms and ribbons.  I used the Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Eleven for the image, which is colored with Copic markers.  I painted the entire tin with Modge Podge.

Inside I made some dividers for cards, so the lunch pail can be used to store greeting cards.

The candle was a little tricky.  I found that I could put a piece of tissue paper on a sheet of cardstock and run it through my printer to get the digital image on it.  Then I colored the image with PrismaColor pencils and Gamsol Odorless Mineral Spirits.  Getting the image on to the candle was typical candle stamping - placing the tissue paper on the candle (trimmed closely) and wrapping it with wax paper and then using the heat tool to melt the tissue into the candle.  The paper on the candle is also from TAC's Juliette SWIC collection.  I was pleased that it turned out rather nicely.

Please join us in our Anything But a Card challenge.  Use a Digi Design House stamp set if you possibly can.  We would be thrilled to see your creation.

Technique Blog Hops - Chalks

Welcome to our Technique Blog Hop - Chalks.  I do love trying
different techniques  that are new or challenging .  For my card I did
a technique called Chalk Dragging.  It involves torn paper and
dabbing chalk on the cardstock and then dragging it to the next position.

I chose a happy, fun stamp set for my Chalk Dragging technique
called Brighten Your Day.
The images are colored with Copic Markers.

Please join our blog hop and link your chalk technique card.

Here is the order for our Blog Hop.  Each of our designers would love for you to

The white shape under the butterfly is a Martha Steward edge punch and corner punch.
