Red Rubber Inspirational #204 Focused on Stamping Anything Goes

This week on Red Rubber Inspirationals, Lynda leads a challenge that is stamping focused, but the theme can be anything.  I'm joining the challenge with this sweet swan set called Swans Rubber Stamp from Red Rubber Designs.  I've made an anniversary card.  The sentiment is from Our Daily Bread Designs, and the heart frame die cut is Spellbinders Heart Squares.  I colored the image with Copic markers, using a cloud template and sponge to make the sky with Palette ink.  The background patterned cardstock is from my stash of remnants, and I added two jewels.

Shy Skunks by Pickled Potpourri

Here are two cards I made with this adorable digital image from Pickled Potpourri called Shy Skunks.  The first card is a flip it card by Spellbinders.

The inside sentiment is Sophisticated Sentiments by Red Rubber Designs, plus a computer generated saying, "You are so stinking cute!".  The patterned paper is from the Blooming Garden Collection by Our Daily Bread Designs.  I've added jewels and a ribbon for embellishment.

The second card with Shy Skunks is below.  It has background paper embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder that says Happy Birthday, and I cut out the image with Lacey Squares Nestablilites by Spellbinders. The sentiments is computer generated.

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to all my Facebook friends and blog post friends.  This is a card made with a rubber stamp set called Every Leaf from Red Rubber Designs.  I love the fall leaves which are just now turning colors in Texas.  They are so beautiful.  God's blessings are so many, and I am thankful.  The sentiment on the card is from Blessings by Our Daily Bread Designs.

This card is from Little Miss Muffet, and must be a retired set now.  It is called Bandit Boy Gavin at Thanksgiving and Agent Bubblegum at Thanksgiving.  It reminds me of our heritage and why our nation is thankful for freedom and blessings in America.  The sentiment is from Sophisticated Sentiments from Red Rubber Designs.

Have a blessed Thanksgiving!

Red Rubber Inspirational #142 - Pumpkin Patch

I made this paper-pieced card for the Red Rubber Inspirational this week called Pumpkin Patch.  I've used a stamp set from Red Rubber Designs, Happy Harvest.  I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on white cardstock and also on scraps of patterned paper.  Then I cut out the pieces and glued them on top the image.  The scarecrow's face and the grass were colored with Copic markers, but all the remaining elements are paper-pieced.  The background sky is made with blue ink, a sponge, and cloud template.  This was a fun fall card.

Now I will give this card in a fall mingle swap with my local stamp group.  The theme for the swap is paper piecing.

Do you have pumpkin stamps?  Come join the Red Rubber Inspirational challenge this week.  It is fun.

Hope you like her too.

Red Rubber Inspirational #134 - Just Wing It

Drea is leading the Red Rubber Inspirational Challenge this week - Just Wing It.  This is one of my favorite stamp sets, called Flutter By from Red Rubber Designs.  Today I'm trying a new technique introduced by Maile Belles, a design team member from PaperTrey Ink.
It is called Cutout Panels.  You can see her tutorial here.

For my card I stamped the images on XPress It blending cardstock for Copics using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with  Copic markers ( YR12, YR14, YR16, YR18, YG95, YG97, Y06, E09, E39).  Then I used a sponge and cloud template with Palette Reflection Blue ink to make the cloud background.  Next I cut out the panel, as detailed in Maile's tutorial and trimmed around the butterfly.  I used a strip of burnt orange Bazzill cardstock and embossed it with a Sizzix flower embossing folder to go behind the cutout panel.  Then the front card is popped up on top with dimensional tape.

Wouldn't you like to enter this challenge using some stamps with wings?  Come join in.
