Designer Diamonds Background

My card today features the background stamp Designer Diamonds.  The center of this stamp has a solid diamond, which I decided to cut open to reveal an image behind it.  I chose Fly Fairy to peek through the opening.  Also on the background I stamped images from Fly Fairy using Palette Burnt Umber ink and used the sentiment as well. Palette Cognac ink matched the golden cardstock I used, so I made that the primary background color, and I even sponged some on the distressed edges of the open flaps.  The image inside is colored with Copic markers.  A golden ribbon and bow wrapped around the card and under the sentiment finished it off.

Here's a closer look.

Journal with Tea Stain background

This project features the newly released background stamp Tea Stain.  I thought it would make a great background for a journal.  Starting with Premium White Cardstock cut to fit the journal, I stamped the Tea Stain stamps with Palette Cognac ink.  I also stamped Fern Frond in Palette Landscape ink on the background and a border from Background Soup with Palette Burnt Umber ink.  Then I sponged Palette Haystack ink over the edges.
The saying is Gratitude to God, stamped in Palette Noir and backed with Spellbinders Fleur de Lis Squares cut from Brown Bazzill cardstock.

As Red Rubber Designs continues our Vintage month, I have a card to show you today using the stamp set, Enjoy the Scenery.  I love the saying on this set.  Although a little intimidating to color, I created the foreground and water scene and clouds to give an illusion of where the lady might be riding and looking.  I used Copic markers.  All supplies are listed below.

Little Miss Muffett Challenge #43- Writing

Today I have a card to submit for the current Little Miss Muffet challenge - Writing.  It is required to have some form of writing on the card.  I've chosen to use the LMM digi stamp, Dill as Jesse James.   I colored the image with Copic Markers, placed it on top of paper by Reminisce called The Old Boardwalk, and added a piece of First Edition Specialty paper from Stampin' Up, and a gold star (like a Sheriff's badge).

Sew Thankful Blog Hop

September at Red Rubber Designs is Vintage month.  Our Featured Stamp set is Sew Thankful, which we as the Design Team are all using for our September Blog Hop.  You will see a variety of ways to use this stamp set as you hop from blog to blog.

For my project I have made a tri-fold slant card using only background stamps (instead of printed papers) for the panels.  Each of the images from Sew Thankful are embossed with  pigment ink and a heat tool.  I colored the images with a few Copic markers.  The background cardstock is black and the images are mounted on red and black cardstock.  I used Spellbinders Lacy Circles die for the sewing machine and backed it with a circle cut with a circle cutter.

Here is the card opened up so you can see both sides of the card.  The accent flower is Red Homemade Crocheted Flowers with a button in the middle and red Scrappers Floss.
