Gift for You Tags in Tin

This is a fun project to prepare for the Christmas giving season.  I used a  Clever Lever Mega 2 1/2 inch circle punch to make tags that fit in the Round Metal Tin.   These tins can be purchased individually or in a pack of 4.  The RRD stamp set Gift for You was perfect for stamping on these tags. I colored them with Copic markers and put the saying "a gift for you" inside.  Then a hole was punched with the Pink Crop-a-dile tool and a thin ribbon added to hang on the package.

Other supplies:  Palette inks: L'Amore Red, Viridian Leaf, Cognac, and Memento Tuxedo Black.  Also a sponge for inking the edges and jewels on the tags.

Snowman Blocks Mug of Chocolate

Here's a Christmas idea using Red Rubber Designs Snowman Blocks and a template (shown below) for a mug.  I stamped the background of the mug with the stamp set Snowflakes and inked the edges with Brilliance Pearlescent Sky Blue and Platinum Planet.  I stamped the Snowman Blocks with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut them out to pop up on the mug, along with some of the sentiments from the stamp set.  The images are colored with Copic markers.  Then I added a package of hot cocoa and a plastic spoon with a bow on it.  Fun!

Here is the template for the mug.
Size it to 9" high and print on an 8.5x11 piece of cardstock.

Little Miss Muffet Scallops Challenge

I made this card for the Little Miss Muffet Scallops challenge.  It uses the LMM Agent Bubblegum Zipping digi image.  I colored her with Copic markers and used a cloud template and Palette Ink Reflection Blue in the background.  The image is cut out with Spellbinders Nestabilities Eyelet Circles.  The background paper is RRD Cha Cha cardstock.  The sentiment is from the RRD Hey Life stamp set.  I used Tuxedo Black Memento ink for the sentiment.  A blue ribbon and bow was added last.

Red Rubber Designs August "Recipe Challenge"

It is the third Thursday, and that means another Red Rubber Designs challenge.

The August 16th challenge is a "recipe" challenge.
The recipe for your inspiration piece will be to:

Use 1 stamped image as your focal point.
Use 1 sentiment
Use something sparkly
Use ribbon

JB0812 is the tag for Flickr.

Check out further details on the Red Rubber Designs blog

My card is made with the Brushed Christmas stamp set.  I stamped the words as the background and made the dove my focal point with the sentiment "Christmas Greetings."  My ink was Brilliance Pearlescent Blue to give it a shine.  Memento Tuxedo Black was used for the stamped image and the sentiment.  I cut an oval with Spellbinders Lacey Ovals to layer behind the focal image.  Ink is sponged around the edged, and I used a B00 Copic Marker on the dove.  To fulfill the challenge a ribbon and a sparkly rhinestone jewel was used.

We would love for you to join our challenge and show us your creation on Flickr.  Check the blog for more details.

Mister Penguin Christmas Card

Today I have a fun Christmas card using Mister Penguin and a sentiment from Peace on Earth.  I've used Kaleidoscope Brites cardstock collection for all the layers of the patterned paper.  The penguin image is stamped on white cardstock and colored with Copic markers and then layered over a Spellbinders Eyelet Circle.  Under the top layers I placed a ribbon and tied a bow.  The blue circle behind the penguin is cut with a 2 1/2 inch circle punch.  It makes a colorful fun card!

Red Rubber Designs August Blog Hop - Holiday Wreaths

It is the First Thursday again.  That means new stamp releases from Red Rubber Designs and a fun Blog Hop.  We are having Christmas in August. The RRD Design Team is all using the August Spotlight stamp, Holiday Wreaths.   I actually used only the small fern branch stamp from the whole stamp set to build my Christmas tree and make the circular border.  Clever, huh?  I added a trunk to the tree with a brown Tombow marker.  The background is Reese Patterned cardstock on cranberry colored matching cardstock.  The circle is cut with Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities Scalloped Circles.  The ink is Warm Green Color Box Chalk ink, and Memento Tuxedo Black for the sentiment.  I added crystal jewels to the tree which I colored with Copic marker R59.  A ribbon and bow finished off the card.

Now it is your turn to have some fun and maybe to win a prize.

It looks like one of Santa's elves has been causing a little mischief in the workshops and craft areas of our Design Team members.  Look closely at each project on the hop and you will see that said elf has left a little image of his jolly employer on one of the Design Team member's creation.  Find the picture of Santa then let us know where you found it (whose blog).  Email your name and the name of the blog where you found the picture of Santa to contest@RedRubberDesigns.com .  Every correct answer will be entered into a random draw for the Spotlight Stamp Holiday Wreaths. Contest ends Sunday, August 5 at midnight (CDT).  Good luck.

Incidentally, the Spotlight Stamp is available in the Red Rubber Designs store for 40% off with a purchase during August.  It is a great stamp set.  Stop by and see all the new releases for Christmas stamping.
