Red Rubber Designs August Blog Hop - Holiday Wreaths

It is the First Thursday again.  That means new stamp releases from Red Rubber Designs and a fun Blog Hop.  We are having Christmas in August. The RRD Design Team is all using the August Spotlight stamp, Holiday Wreaths.   I actually used only the small fern branch stamp from the whole stamp set to build my Christmas tree and make the circular border.  Clever, huh?  I added a trunk to the tree with a brown Tombow marker.  The background is Reese Patterned cardstock on cranberry colored matching cardstock.  The circle is cut with Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities Scalloped Circles.  The ink is Warm Green Color Box Chalk ink, and Memento Tuxedo Black for the sentiment.  I added crystal jewels to the tree which I colored with Copic marker R59.  A ribbon and bow finished off the card.

Now it is your turn to have some fun and maybe to win a prize.

It looks like one of Santa's elves has been causing a little mischief in the workshops and craft areas of our Design Team members.  Look closely at each project on the hop and you will see that said elf has left a little image of his jolly employer on one of the Design Team member's creation.  Find the picture of Santa then let us know where you found it (whose blog).  Email your name and the name of the blog where you found the picture of Santa to contest@RedRubberDesigns.com .  Every correct answer will be entered into a random draw for the Spotlight Stamp Holiday Wreaths. Contest ends Sunday, August 5 at midnight (CDT).  Good luck.

Incidentally, the Spotlight Stamp is available in the Red Rubber Designs store for 40% off with a purchase during August.  It is a great stamp set.  Stop by and see all the new releases for Christmas stamping.

Lovely card. I love how you made a tree from that little twig. Very brilliant indeed!

Love the tree you made! Such a great (and somewhat quick to mass produce) card for Christmas giving.

Paula-Kay ... so wonderful that you used the tiny stamp from the Holiday Wreath stamp set and created a Christmas tree from it! Nice thinking "out of the box"!

Lovely card, Paula-Kay. ;D

You did a fantastic job with that itty bitty stamp...you built a whole tree out of one bough. Very creative!

Lovely tree and I agree with Louise. A lot of work but certainly worth it. Beautiful work!
