Red Rubber Inspirational #113 - Very Vintage

Mary Anne is leading the Red Rubber Inspirational #113 this week with a theme of Very Vintage.  I don't do a lot of vintage style cards, but I thought this Yester Years cling stamp from Red Rubber designs is certainly an old image.  It reminds me of by-gone years when the stagecoach would stop at the inn for travelers to board or deboard.  We have such an inn in central Texas which was an actual stagecoach inn.  It is currently a restaurant and hotel.  Inside they have vintage photographs of when the stagecoach stopped there.

Texana Designs Texas Wildflower card

It's that time of year again - Spring - when the Texas wildflowers bloom.  I've made a card with Beauty of Wildflowers and Bouquet by Texana Designs.  The inside sentiment called Texas-sized Birthday says, "Have a Texas-sized Birthday".  We like to drive to the Texas hill country during April to see the Bluebonnets, Indian Paintbrushes, and other wildflowers.

Inspirational #112 Color in the Lines

Drea is leading the Red Rubber Inspirational this week with "Color in the Lines".  I chose the cute stamp called Becca to make my card.  This is a cling mount stamp from Red Rubber Designs.  She is a cutie, isn't she?  When I made this card, it was a rainy day, so it seemed perfect.  I "colored in the lines" with Copic markers and then used Crystal Effects for rain drops and the puddle beneath her.

I would love to see what you color.  Join our Inspirational challenge here.

This week I'm showing a card made with a silhouette digital image called Fly by Pickled Potpourri.  I changed the color of the image and the sentiment in Photoshop Elements to match my blue color scheme.  It is printed out on plain white cardstock.

Inspirational #111 One Last Snowfall

It is nearly spring, but in some places (not Texas) there will be one last snowfall.  Lynda of Red Rubber Inspirationals has challenged us to create something representing that last winter snowfall before spring.

I made a flip-it card using Red Rubber Design's Snowman Blocks and Snowflakes stamp sets.

This cute little leprechaun is wishing you all a Happy St. Patrick's Day this month.  While painting on rocks with two of my grandchildren I made this St. Patrick's Day rock as well.  You can find these images, St. Patty and Shamrock Love, at Pickled Potpourri.  The sentiment is from Red Rubber Designs - Cheers to You.

Nature Steno Pad

I'm sharing an altered steno pad I made for a swap with my local stampers this month.  I decorated my steno pad with a butterfly and flowers.  I added an inspirational saying and inked the edges.  In return I will receive one made by another stamper in our local group.  Fun!

Inspirational #110 Stamp Your Own Background

Kendra has challenged us this week on Red Rubber Inspirationals to stamp our own background.  This is fun, and sometimes challenging.  I get too accustomed to using patterned paper backgrounds, but we can make our own.  I've used Fly Fairy and Background Soup stamps sets from Red Rubber Designs to create this background.  I chose three colors to stamp with Palette inks - Burnt Umber, Raw Sienna, and Landscape.  Then I sponged the edges with more of the Raw Sienna color.  The image is colored with Copic markers, and I added a bow for accent beside the sentiment.
